For this project, I chose the theme “Inflation Waves—Fashion in the Sign of Change,” with a focus on fair and sustainable fashion. I have always been fascinated by textiles, particularly embroidery and weaving, and how these practices have historically documented human experiences. These textiles—especially from the perspective of women—served as powerful tools for narrative and protest. In this project, I explore coiling as a craft technique that reflects how narratives can spiral, entangle, and interweave. I draw inspiration from the forms and structures of basketry, which serve as the basis for the silhouettes. Coiling, much like weaving, allows me to symbolize the layers and complexity of human history and expression in a contemporary context. The design integrates sustainable materials and techniques that align with the message of change and the need for eco-conscious fashion. By combining coiling and fashion, I aim to make a statement that reflects both the interweaving of the past and the direction toward a more sustainable and impactful future. Music by Riff-Floss
